The Good: Since we had made reservation, so we don’t have to be seated at the Sushi Bar. A nice yet romantic environment. About the food, the presentation is acceptable, the Una Cheese Maki is recommended as the melting cheese melt perfectly with the unagi, this combination is simply exquisite.
The Bad: I feel that sometimes a simple menu will be easier compare to a thick menu with plenty of variety which took longer time to look for what you actually wanted to order. What I feel dissatisfied is the sushi roll, the rice is too sticky, it will either break into pieces or stick on the plate.
One word for the Chicken Teppan- Salty. If just eat without rice, it’s definitely not a good choice to order it. The teppan set is without rice which we need to order a Gohan Set which comes with rice, miso and pickles. As a fried rice lover, I couldn’t resist to try for the Garlic Fried Rice. It’s is simply disappointed, I can’t smell the nice aroma of the garlic, basically it’s just tasteless which I need to add the soy sauce to add on the flavor.
Although there is a bell to press to ask for the waiter, it took so long for us to ask them for the bill. Yet, there’s another 10 mins to wait for them to bring us the bill. The staff is not efficient enough.
Remarks: Overall, Edo Ichi just another normal Japanese restaurant. Personally, I don’t feel there’s any specialty which will makes me go for the second time. It does not impress me at all.
